The latest developments in occupied Homs up to 8pm [Syria] - 19/07/2012
The brutal military campaign continues on the province of Homs for the 44th day with mortar shells, missiles, incendiary weapons, tank shells, gunships and aircrafts all being used on the besieged province. Many civilians are trapped with no electricity, water, food, gas, diesel and medicines and the brutal shelling continues to cause an increase in the number of injuries and homeless who have little to no aid or protection.
The number of areas that have been shelled for today has reached 13 till this moment:

• Talbiseh:
The city was shelled with aircrafts, artillery and mortar shells by regime forces again from 5am in the morning with aircrafts flying at low altitude with explosions shaking the city and black smoke seen rising. 25 tanks and armoured vehicles belonging to the Assad regime were seen on this way to Talbiseh city carrying shabeeha thugs and regime security forces in an attempt to storm the city by besieging it with T72 tanks on the southern side with many homes set alight. Mahmoud Shaker Aldheik was martyred with many injuries falling as the city falls into an even bigger devastation.
Overnight over 6 men were martyred as regime forces shelled the city, a new massacre was committed.

Regime shelling resumed on the city and onto civilian homes with mortar shells and heavy artillery continuously targeting day after day. 8 shells are falling per minute attacking the suburbs too. Mohamad Rashad Ghanoum and Mohamad Ghanoum Ghanoum were martyred from the Alhamidiyeh village with many injuries falling, from them chuldren. The retired sergeant Mohamad Faysal Almasri was martyred by a sniper shot from the Sameer Raas checkpoint.

The city is still under horrific shelling from missile launchers, heavy artillery, vozdika cannons and other forms of weapons including aircrafts as the regime cannot storm on the ground thus continues to attack from the air and with shells. Several homes set alight and dozens fell injured.

Security forces detained many young men in the village on the road of Maheen and Hawareen. They were taken to an unknown destination. 4 pick-ups carrying armed security forces were spread on the main road with a random new checkpoint at the Alqebli Mosque despite the suffocating siege imposed. A protest came out chanting for the FSA.

• Alrabee Alarabi:
The neighborhood was shelled by regime forces with explosions shaking the area. Safwan Ghazi Alfaouri, Mohamad Jasem Alfaouri, Mahrab Farhan Alfaouri, Marwan Abdullah Alkhaldi were all martyred after a plane missile shelled their car in the east of Hama.
• Karam Alshami:
The call for morning prayers was not made, nor was the call for evening prayers yesterday as regime forces impose a crackdown and curfew.
• Alghanto:
The village was shelled with mortars from the early hours of this morning.
• Krak des Chevaliers city:
Shelling resumed from pro-Assad areas over-night using all kinds of weapons on the civilian filled city. The pro-Assad areas are Almaseda and Ras Alnab' with the shelling heard to Lebanon.
• Alzafarane:
The village was shelled at night from the engineering battalion in Alrastan belonging to the Assad regime with many injuries fallen.
• Tadmur/Palmyra:
6 vehicles left the military-security branch carrying armed shabeeha thugs and regime forces on the road to Homs.
